Salvation for the Deserving

Training remains most vital issue in relation to SFD’s Mission Statement and goals. SFD aims at turning the disabled into the productive work forces. In doing so, SFD provides vocational and general trainings to the disabled.

Disabled and marginalized deserving are being imparted this kind of training for being self-reliant. Further, numbers of training programs are awaiting and will be introduced upon availability of funds.

SFD plans to set up small-scale industrial production centre where a good number of disabled as well as deserving poor people will be employed. As the disabled may to some extent not be quite comfortable with some complex operation, a ratio of 10% - 20% disabled and 80% - 90% deserving people are to be in operation process. The ultimate objective of such project is to provide ownership to the concerned people who are the part of the production process.

Institute Based Rehabilitation (IBR)

Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)

CBR helps people in many areas including health, income, education, rights and social participation. This project also involves the people and their family activities .

The aims of CBR is the full representation and empowerment of disabled people and also promoting such interventions in the general systems of society, as well as adaptations of the physical and psychological environment that will facilitate the social integration and the self actualization of the disabled people. The main goals of CBR are to bring about a change to develop a system capable of reaching all disabled people in needs to educate and involve governments and public. It should be sustained in each country by using a level of resources that is realistic and maintainable.

Besides, SFD is going to embark on small Industrial unit in our premise Viz- SFD engineers & SFD food. Both the unit is expected to run by June- 2010.

SFD engineers

The engineering unit will assemble solar energy component, Environmental Friendly Battery, home service of maintenance of the electronic service of Fridge, Television, Computer and other electronic item.

SFD food:

SFD food intends Besides Agriculture Poultry layer and broiler, bakery and other confectionary item, keeping eye to develop the protein deficiency of the people in co-operation of Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Service.   

It also has planed to open service outlet at Manikgonj, Savar, Singair, and Dhaka to sell its products- Garment, Handicrafts, Agro and Engineering items.
