Vice Chairman Principal Shafinaz Begam is a noble educationist and is of a business personality of the country. She was born in June 04, 1941 in Ruppur, Paksey, Pabna. She completed her graduation and post graduation from Dhaka University major in Bangla. Then she started her career on the line of teaching profession in the year 1968. She established a college named “Tajgoan Mohila College” in the year 1972 after liberation of Bangladesh under the guidance of Principal Saidur Rahman, a renowned academician of the country. Mr. Saidur Rahman was the first Principal of the college. After him Mrs. Shafinaz Begam become so to say as the founder Principal of this college in the 1978 and continued as the Principal for long 28(twenty eight) years. It was incepted first with a limited number of students in a hired semi-pucca house at the old site at Tejgoan. At Tejtori Bazar, Tejgonj a house with land for college building allotted by the Govt. freed from the unauthorized occupant, purchased it and constructed there a six storied building. Thus a full pledged college was established at new site in own land in the year 1982. Prior to her retirement, it turned into a one of the leading college of Dhaka City gradually increasing the number of students with her relentless effort. After the death of her husband Mr. Safi Ahmed, once a student leader and General Secretary of DUCSU, she joined in her husband’s business as his legal successor and she is now a Managing Director of S.B. Securities Limited, a corporate member of Dhaka Stock Exchange. Besides her profession, Mrs. Shafinaz Begam possesses an extra quality for upholding interest on Social Development and Activities. She is the lifetime member of Bangladesh-India Friendship Society and Member of Bangladesh Foundation for Development Research. |

Executive Director Ms. Khandokar Cowsar Zahan Tasmina , a social activist working with several development organizations. She was born in Dhaka. After being awarded University degree in English, she involved with number of social development organizations. She is the general secretary of the trusty board of Salvation for the Deserving. At present she is given responsibility to overseeing operations of the Salvation for the Deserving (SFD) as Executive Director. Finance Director A. H. Tawfique Ahmed, Director Finance, SFD is a former Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank (Central Bank of the country). He also served as a Secretary General of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh. After obtaining his postgraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Dhaka he started his career in the erstwhile Pakistan Academy for Rural Development (now BARD, Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development), under the able leadership of famous social reformer Dr. Akhter Hamid Khan. Later he joined State Bank of Pakistan as Asst. Chief Officer and served in various capacities for 31 years. Organizing Secretary Mr. Jahidul Hasan Mitul is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Business Automation ltd. He has done his graduation from the University of Dhaka. Mr. Mitul has been involved in various ICT development initiatives in Bangladesh. He is the Chairman of BASIS Standing Committee on ICT4Development. Mr. A.M. Motaher Hossain Mr. A.M. Motaher Hossain was born in Comilla in 1962. As an Agriculture Graduate he was awarded the degree in the year 1985 from one of the Asia's great agriculture Universities ' Bangladesh Agriculture University of Mymensingh. He also obtained a postgraduate diploma in planning with securing Grade - A from Academy for planning and development. As a senior cadre in information of the Bangladesh Civil Service he had to assume responsibilities of various capacities. He could proved himself as one of the dynamic civil servants of this republic. Mr. Hossain took part in several training programs and study tour programs in home and abroad. He involves in several social development initiatives including his active membership with Bangladesh Civil Service (Information). |

Mr. Monowar Hossain, Ph.D Mr. Monowar Hossain, Ph.D is one of the country's renowned economists worked for the World Bank for several years. A London School of Economics scholar Mr. Hossain was awarded his Ph.D degree in the year 1964 for his research on Econometrics. On the other hand, he received his Bachelor (Hons.) and Masters degree in Statistics from Dhaka University. His professional employment includes Director, Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT), Dhaka University; Research Fellow, Economics Department, Dhaka University; Economist, the World Bank, Washington D.C.; Chairman, Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS). He has a huge national and international research exposure. He has a good number of articles published in the national and international Journals. Mr. Hossain is actively involved with number of social development organizations including Institute of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) where he holds the position of the Director of Economic Division. |
